Client: Seinäjoen Energia
Implementation period: Reporting year 2024
Seinäjoen Energia, a provider of electricity, district heating, and water utility services, sought to update the structure, visual appearance, and approach of its annual sustainability and year-in-review report to meet evolving reporting requirements, particularly those introduced by the CSRD. The aim was to create a communicative transition report that also aligns in content with the guidance of the ESRS standards, serving both stakeholder needs and future development work.
Kaskas collaborated with the client to design the structure and layout of the report in line with the CSRD framework, especially in terms of content and organization. At the same time, the concept development of the report emphasized clarity, accessibility, and visual appeal. Kaskas was responsible for designing the report’s layout template and infographics, as well as handling content layout, editing, and communication-focused development work.

The end result was a transition report that advances sustainability reporting toward regulatory compliance without compromising clarity or communicative impact. The work enabled Seinäjoen Energia to make a clear shift toward a new reporting culture. Kaskas also carried out the visual design and layout of Seinäjoen Energia’s financial statements.
“Kaskas provided us with expert support in understanding the requirements of sustainability reporting and what they mean specifically for us. It was a major effort and our first report of this kind, so in many ways it involved learning something entirely new — but the final outcome exceeded our expectations,” says Riikka Liikanen, Communications Manager at Seinäjoen Energia.
