Green Building Council Finland mapped out the sustainability challenges and solutions for the real estate and construction sector

We helped Green Building Council Finland compile a comprehensive overview of sustainability in the real estate and construction sector into one report.

Why was the work done?

Green Building Council Finland wanted to compile a comprehensive overview of the state of sustainability in the real estate and construction sector, addressing climate, nature, circular economy, and the energy transition — all in one place for the first time. Together with FIGBC, we produced the “Sustainability Check-Up” report, which was published in autumn 2024.

What did we do?

The report focused on four key areas where the sector impacts the environment, along with leading case examples of projects that successfully tackled complex sustainability challenges. We were responsible for the report’s concept development, content creation, and key messaging in collaboration with FIGBC, as well as the illustrations, infographics, and layout design.

The report layout is based on Green Building Council Finland’s visual identity. To bring the design to life, we created thematic illustrations in the form of “building blocks” of sustainability.

The result was a visually striking package that combined facts and storytelling in a powerful way. The report served as a conversation starter and a catalyst for influencing industry regulations, supporting the goals of sustainable construction and pointing the way toward a low-carbon and profitable future for the real estate and construction sector.
