Project name: ICEBERG
Implementation period: 2024–2026
The multidisciplinary and international ICEBERG project investigates pollution in the Arctic region and its impact on ecosystems and communities in Greenland, Iceland, and Svalbard. Solutions to pollution are sought in collaboration with local and Indigenous populations, with policy recommendations also being an integral part of the project.
ICEBERG is a Horizon Europe project coordinated by the University of Oulu. The ICEBERG consortium includes 16 partner organizations from countries such as Germany, France, and Iceland. Kaskas is responsible for the planning and implementation of ICEBERG’s communications and visual identity, covering everything from social media channels to media outreach.
What do we do?
We are fully responsible for ICEBERG’s communications. We have created the project’s visual identity and communication strategy, launched the website, set up the newsletter and social media channels, and developed concepts for regular, multichannel communications.

In a large and multinational project like ICEBERG, it is essential that researchers actively communicate about the overall research effort. We support ICEBERG’s researchers and partner organizations in sharing their work and its outcomes. In a large international consortium, internal communication also plays a crucial role.

Our Lead Communications Specialist, Marika Ahonen, has written a blog post that sheds light on the various aspects that must be considered when communicating a project like ICEBERG. Read the post on the ICEBERG website.
