Kaskas is HSY’s media training partner and has trained HSY’s experts in autumn 2025 and spring 2026.

Helsinki Region Environmental Services (HSY) provides municipal water and waste management services to over a million residents in the Helsinki metropolitan area. It also produces knowledge about the region and its environment.
HSY’s experts are interviewed by the media in situations both planned and sudden, providing background information or communicating during a disruption.
HSY’s topics touch the daily lives of people across the metropolitan area in fundamental ways. Clean drinking water and reliable water and waste services are cornerstones of a functioning society.

Kaskas works with HSY under a framework agreement and delivers their media training. In autumn 2025 and spring 2026, we trained HSY’s experts in working with the media and making their message clear and accessible. The collaboration will continue in the years ahead.
With the experts, we ran filmed interview exercises that give a real feel for actual interview situations and build the skill of condensing a message and making it understandable.
The aim of the training was to strengthen the experts’ confidence to meet the media as themselves. The training received an overall rating of 4.7/5, and every participant felt more confident about meeting the media than before.
