Preparing for extreme weather sparked discussion in the Nordics – If’s webinars 2024–2025

We created a webinar concept for insurance company If, enabling them to raise awareness of the risks posed by extreme weather and how to prepare for them.

Client: Insurance company If
Project: If’s annual webinar on extreme weather risks and preparedness

Extreme weather events are no longer a distant threat – they are happening now. With climate change, floods, storms, and heavy rainfall have become more common in the Nordics, threatening homes, businesses, and communities. Insurance company If wanted to raise awareness of the risks posed by extreme weather and how to prepare for them. The goal was to spark discussion across the Nordic countries (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark).

In spring 2024, If organized its first joint Nordic webinar focused on extreme weather risks and preparedness, bringing together experts, companies, and the general public. Kaskas was responsible for the entire planning and execution of the event. We designed the webinar concept, built the content, coached the speakers, hosted the broadcast, and managed the production.

The webinar attracted nearly 800 viewers, and the recording is still available on If’s website.

A successful concept continued

The topical theme and effective concept ensured the webinar’s continuation the following year. In April 2025, the event was organized again with the same theme. Kaskas once more handled the concept design, content planning, speaker preparation, moderation, and production. Within just two months, the recording had already been viewed over 600 times.

If’s webinars demonstrate that even complex topics can be communicated clearly and engagingly when expertise, storytelling, and interaction are combined into a compelling whole.
